Look: 4.25
Amber color with fluffy bubbles and a fair amount of lacing
Smell: 3.75
Malt and vinegar. Red wine barrel note is there, but it's pretty subtle.
Taste: 3.5
Slight sour note upfront. Surprisingly bland. Slightly metallic aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: 3.75
Moderate carbonation. Appropriate viscosity for a Belgian red, although I thought the red-wine barrel aging would make it denser.
Overall: 3.75
I respect the effort, but this one fell flat for me.

I wanted to like this beer, but there was just too much wine and tannin flavors for me. I was told this is one of Blue Pants older beers and I have enjoyed their new stuff a lot.

Dark beer, smells good, taste ok. I bought two bottles 22oz. The beer tasted flat, as if the bottle lost its seal. The other review said below said the beer was over carbonated, but mine was not carbonated at all. It is almost as if they took that into account. When I poured into mug there was no head visible what so ever, another reason I feel it was flat. No foam, no fizz. I think this beer would of been a 5/5 if it was not flat tasting. It was great, but it just missed the mark.

had 2 pours from a 22 oz bottles
A-very hazy dark red amber color with a tan head
S-malt, wine, and alcohol
T-wine taste hits hard at first then you get a malt flavor that turns back to a wine, and alcohol finish
M-high carbonation with a strong alcohol and medium body
O-a good beer but did not get the style it was but good The first pour was clear and an amber color the second was darker
