Poured on draft at local bottle shop.
A: Pours a light golden brown with a two finger frothy white head. Some significant lacing.
S: A mix of yeast esters combined with some fruits - plum, cherry.
T: Caramel, cherry, and dates. A peppery bite at the end and hint of some other spices. A little bit of farmhouse funk lurks in the shadows.
M: Medium body with a slightly dry finish.
O: Very nice brew. The saison yeast gives this the feel of a farmhouse ale combined with some of the familiar flavors of a Belgian dark. Interesting beer.
