I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had ripe citrus hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with citrus hop presence throughout the drink. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

From can, Oct 2018; Nice beer, citrus forward DIPA, noticeable booziness on the finish but not off-putting; would probably delicious on tap

12 oz can, no date.
Pours a deep hazy honey hue with a nice foamy white cap of 1/2 finger. Finger shadows can be seen on the other side of the glass so there's slight transparency.
Aroma is of tropical fruits and faint ethanol in that respective order; lots of veiny grapefruit, some orange peel, pineapple and passion fruit. The faint ethanol note is at the way far back and doesn't get in the way of the nice bouquet.
Flavor is a hop assault! Lots of lush dripping tropical fruit mixes with heavy caramel and alcohol heat, leaving a remainder of pine and alcohol soaked grapefruit rinds. Tons of red grapefruit. It's a sipper.
Feel is creamy and very well lit at the same time. Alcohol heat and pine resins come forth in a big way.
Overall, a very decent DIPA with a lot to offer. Again, for me, a bit heavy on the caramel, but it's sandwiched nicely in between the heavy tropical fruits and alcohol heat.

Big thanks to richj1970 for this IIPA, one of a huge box of goodness sent me
Pours an amber, cloudy-with-fine-yeast beauty with three fingers thick off white foam atop that leaves stripe rings of lace as it kicks back to skim island and ring. Nice!
Medium strength aroma featuring light caramel sweet, rich citrus notes, both sweet and pithy, a bit of a bready note, and some nice pine that pops more profoundly as beer approaches room temp.
Full flavored taste, with all the flavors of the aroma bold representatives of their natures. Deep grapefruit bitter and general citrus sweet goodness compete for dominance, balanced well by the caramel sweet. Pine definitely has come to play, end of sip features a stiff represent that dries it out with help from herbal bitter and alcohol spice.
Highly viscous, med. carb., full bodied, with a finish that has a bit of resin buildup but is a killer linger for sure.
Dinged it for the bit of resin buildup in finsh, but make no mistake this is a well crafted and delicious beer that I def. recommend.
