On-draught @ Le Supercoin in Paris. 6 euro/pint.
Oddly creamy, with off-putting butterscotch character dominating the flavour profile. Sweet bready malts.
Saccharine, with sweet malts overwhelming any and all hop bitterness. Sorachi ace never appears. Imbalanced and badly built, lacking even a basic hop emphasis - and isn't emphasizing hops the heart of this style?
Not undrinkable. More an English pale ale than anything. Why brew this?
D+ / NOT RECOMMENDED

Batch L3 2016, Single Hop Equinox
As Craig Allan puts it, this is a "Constantly changing IPA - the batch code on the bottle corresponds to a specific hop variety or combination of hop varieties."
With pale, dark vienna, and wheat malts, this is an airy and fresh pale ale with floral aromas and flavors from the dry hopping.
Color is light gold, foam is clean white and very fomy and persistent.
Aromas are bitter at first, floral afterwards.
The taste is refreshing and mild as far as malts go, as it really is all about the Equinox. The dry hopping results in moderate bitterness but strong herb flavors.
Overall, a great single hop dry-hopped beer by CA.
