Very rocky, humongous, gushing head of white over a lightly hazy body of brassy orange. Bold citrus hops--grapefruit and lime overlaying Belgian candy sugar and sticky bread malt. Like a Belgian IPA! I think I would describe this beer as Orval mixed with SNPA. Tart, refreshing hops all over; with a light, wheatish-hay malt backing. Some sugary notes in the predominantly hop citrus finish. Is there brett in here? Yeast imparts some complexity. Unusual and great! Lively mouthfeel on a moderate body. One of the best beers I had in NZ.
