16 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 6/8/2018. Pours slightly hazy golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of juicy/lightly tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, pear, red apple, melon, red grape, caramel, honey, brown sugar, and toasted bread; with light notes of pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of raspberries, fruity yeast, dark/bready malts, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, pear, red apple, melon, red grape, caramel, honey, brown sugar, and toasted bread; with light notes of pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal, floral, grassy, spicy hop bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, pear, red apple, melon, red grape, caramel, honey, brown sugar, toasted bread, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity yeast, dark/bready malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/tangy/acidic/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.3%. Overall this is a very good fruited American amber ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity yeast, dark/bready malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and pretty refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/tart/tangy/drying finish. Nicely jammy berries; balanced dark/bready malts and fruity yeast; with nice earthy hop presence/balance. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.
