Poured a very decent dark brown/black color with some nice head and a bit of lacing throughout. Nice deep scent with good coffee tones and a nice hint of earthiness at the end. Deep roasted flavor with good coffee tones and very much a hint of cask aging (although I am sure they did not); nice earthy hop finish. Goes down well.

Thanks to Dave via Howard for the pour of this beer from a new brewpub! Dug up my old notes from the summer...
Current brewery notes: 5.1% abv, 25 IBU, Pale, CaraPilsCrystal, Dark Crystal Malts.
Pours black with mahogany edges, a dark chocolate stained layer of thin foam that fades into a cirrus pattern of skim across the surface.
Mellow roastiness, coffee and toasted popcorn kernels. Flavors of mild bittersweet chocolate, dry and earthy in the aftertaste. Smooth and creamy, supple feel. Sticky on the lips but not especially sweet. Overall a great first effort from this new Indiana brewery, hope to try more in the future!
