Poured a fantastic deep dark brown, near black, with fantastic beige head and some very nice lacing. Huge deep scents, with roasted grains, a nice coffee tone, and a large sugary, creamy sweetness. Good flavors, with excellent roasted grains and a huge creaminess; very little detectable hops, which was fine; perhaps just a bit too much on the creamy, sugary side. A little rough, going down, but not too bad; it just wouldn't be an all-the-time beer because of this.

Looks amazing very dark with a nice mocha colored head that's about a finger/finger and a half. The smell is a little faint but I pick of chocolate and a sweetness. With the first sip nice bitter chocolate taste rolls across my touge then at the end I get a slight sweetness from the lactose, but a slight bitterness sits on your touge. The mouthfeel is soild for the style, it coats my mouth well but not overally thick. Overall I think this is Black Swans best beer for its style.
