330ml bottle into tulip
L - dark brown, almost black. Pours a thin offwhite head that retains a 3mm thick lacing
S - moderate intensity, cocoa and rich roasted malt mainly
T - roasted bready malts - quite sweet at first, small dose of coffee beans and cherry, mild metallic bitterness at finish
F - tad watery, slick texture
O - reasonable local made bock, tad watery and bland. One of the better Balmain beers however.

I had a 330ml bottle.
Appearance: nice pour, very dark appearance with a tinge of port colour. Great coffee foam head that remained on the beer for a while.
Aroma: roasted dark caramel malts evident and some light chocolate aroma.
Flavour: excellent balance. Mild bitterness with good carbonation. Great chocolate roasted malt flavours make this a very enjoyable beer. A great find and a beer to have again.
Overall: an excellent beer. Great colour, presentation, flavour and balance. Worth a try.
