Sampled at Vices & Versa's anniversary, on cask.
Very cloudy body the color of lemonade. Has a dry sourness with a soapy lemon finish but in a good way.

To delicious. The old provenace beers were already amazing, add a light mescal overtone and barrel aging. Top 1

Now this is how they should be doing Provenance from now on! The citrus, the tartness and the lingering pucker are fantastic. This would be fantastic if they bottled it.

8oz poured on tap at the brewery into a tulip glass.
Appearance: Translucent, pale goldenrod. Minimal white head, but a persistent crown and some spotty lacing.
Smell: The Mezcal is strongest here, a slightly sweet, agave smokiness and prominent barrel character. Lots of citrus, the lemon and grapefruit are probably the strongest of the citrus coming through in the nose.
Taste: Lighter Mezcal here, citrus is stronger. More grapefruit than anything else, although the lime is certainly playing kind of second fiddle here. Prominent earthy, smoky malt on the finish.
Mouthfeel: pretty typical of Jester King saisons, dry, healthy carb. Moderately long linger.
Overall: this is very good, wish it was bottled. The regular provenance are already great, this one really manages to improve upon that though.
