Shimmering ruby, almost magenta red, the sparse head fizzles out very quickly, leaving only a fine thin chain around its watery surface.
Much juicier, softer and smoother than other Spons, this variant exhibits less funk and a lighter, thinner body. Flavors of grape meld into additional notes of blueberry and cherry before coming into that classic Jester King dry finish.

I just drank Spon Cab Franc & Zinfandel. It is blended with two and three year old 100% spontaneously fermented beer and refermented with Cab Franc grapes and Zinfandel grapes. This is a truly delicious and sophisticated Wild Ale / Fruit Lambic.
Look: semi-clear dark red a bit purple with a thin white head
Aroma: grapes, maybe cherry, red wine
Taste: The flavor is sweet and tart grapes, maybe cherry, some brett funk and dry red wine. It is not too tart. It is delicious.
Body/Overall: light to medium body, easy drinking, thirst quenching
