For our 13th anniversary beer, we created a special blend of Jester King SPON. Barrel Program Manager Sarah Lee Parker selected barrels one, three, and four years old for the blend. We get notes of stonefruit, mild honey, and light dusty attic.

The beer pours some very light head that dissipates very quickly. The beer itself is a clear metallic amber and copper color that looks really nice.
The smell is decent. It has a musty smell with some honey and light fruit. The smell is primarily musty.
The taste is decent. The taste is similar to the smell but that the fruit note comes out a lot more with a nice big honey finish. The musty note is gone and replaced with a bitter and funky note.
The feel is decent. It has a light-medium body with tingling carbonation. The acidity is fairly light.
Overall, this is a decent three-year blend that's good enough to drink and enjoy for those who aren't used to wild ales of this kind.

Poured from a 12.7 green bottle that had a cap covering a cork sealing it.
The look was the color of honey with a parchment white thin cap on it. No lacing and there’s a fair amount of sediment.
The taste is unmistakably wild with the tart lead of lemon like pucker power and grassy funk following. A bit of other fruits show up; apple and apricot and I think I get a little honey flavor.
The feel is thin, but it fits the flavor. It begged to be slammed but I savored it.

750ml green bottle. Cap over cork. No exact dating information found, other that the beer is for the 13th anniversary, with 2023 on the label.
Clear, deep gold colored body. One thin finger of white head quickly retreats and leaves a quiet surface storm of rising bubbles. No lacing.
Aroma is vinous, with oak, mild funk, lemon and apricot.
Taste is quite acidic and tart. Flavors of grass and hay funk, lemon, apricot, and a sweetener such as honey. Quick end to the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel. Kind of dusty and drying. Quiet carbonation.
Besides the lemon tartness, the deep blend of flavors bring notes of late summer hay, honey sweetness, and stone fruit such as plum and apricot.
