My wife and I stopped in for Lunch while in Oban, and were thoroughly impressed with the food. The beer was average-good but pretty standard in terms of styles and implementations. We went a bit off season, and two house brews were available on cask. The rest were in bottles. MOst of the taps were macros.
While we were at lunch we saw a number of people walk in simply to make dinner reservations. (Take note if you are thinking of a dinner visit).
It's a newly decorated pub with a tasteful mixture of new and reclaimed building materials. It feels rather modern, but definitely grounded in the towns history as a fishing/ferry town.
The food was exceptional for a pub, with excellent and recommendable seafood.
