Growler into a teku.

Appearance: Murky amber body that's almost muddy looking. A hard pour yields two fingers of foam that slowly recedes to a film.

Smell: A cornucopia of ripe tropical fruit: mango, guava and pineapple. Mandarin orange appears as it warms. Amazing fruit character from the hops, with little malt to get in the way, just a whisper of breadiness.

Taste & mouthfeel: Juicy ripe tropical fruit, minus the sugar. This is bone dry with beautifully balanced clean bitterness. Mango and pineapple are dominant, with undertones of guava, stonefruit and orange peel. There isn't much to say about the malt backbone - it's there, but it doesn't contribute much. The finish is impeccable: dry and clean with moderate bitterness that doesn't linger excessively.

Overall: One of the top IPAs I've tried this year. I could (and will) drink a lot of this. Awesome stuff.

On tap at The Beer Company before the Symphony X and Iced Earth Concert.

A: Hazy yellow orange with a finger of soapy white froth.

S: Bright and vibrant hop profile with huge fruit notes: passionfruit, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, orange, and apricot. Smells fantastic, like tropical fruit juice. Malt imparts a little bread.

T: The flavor continues the trend of excellence with a cornucopia of peach, mango, passionfruit, and apricot. Malt provides a little balance but not much sweetness. Alcohol is well hidden.

M: Medium body with upper medium carbonation.

Overall: Really good. The Beer Company continues to impress me.
