On tap at The Beer Company.
A: Black at first glance but further inspection reveals a deep brown body with a crimson tinge and an inch of beige froth.
S: Smooth roasted grain aromatics with molasses and very faint licorice notes. Nice coffee presence with dark chocolate and earth. A little citrus in the nose.
T: Bittersweet chocolate with molasses and maple-like sweetness. Nice balance between earthy, citrusy bitterness and malt sweetness. There's a pervasive nuttiness that does the beer credit. No alcohol is evident.
M: Upper medium to lower full body with upper moderate carbonation. The mouthfeel is chewy and sticky.
Overall: For a straight up Stout this is high quality stuff. I was not expecting this. I wish I could have tried the vanilla bean and maple wood cask that was on earlier.

Pours dark with a nutty tan head, smells of roasted malt, citrus, and milk chocolate. Not the best stout I've ever had, but a nice one with a smooth, creamy mouth feel, medium bodied. This was an above average representation of the style.
