On the brew menu, this beer is claimed to be made with thirty pounds of dates. Sounded intriguing! I love dates. The nose did indeed betray dates in this ruddy, brownish hued dubbel, with notes of candied sugar, tart apples, and a warming mouth feel. The taste more or less follows the nose. This is a style I claim to be no expert in, but it seemed to be a nice example.
