On tap at The Beer Company
A: Dark red with some transparency and an orangish tinge. Modest white head with scattered lacing.
S: Bright orange and grapefruit aromatics. Toasted and caramel malt presence. Nice.
T: Juicy citrus, reminiscent of orange and grapefruit flesh, with a smooth lower moderate bitterness. The hop profile is balanced by biscuit and toasted malts. There's a little caramel in there as well and a touch of alcohol in the finish.
M: Medium body with upper medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is dry and crisp.
Overall: A really nice Red Ale. Pretty well balanced with the scale tipping toward the hoppy end of the spectrum. Full of flavor and vitality.
