Dark, reddish-brown body supporting a thick, fluffy and creamy, khaki colored head. Earthy aroma; roasted and charred grain; coffee; minimal spiciness. Somewhat weird flavor; over-ripe fruit but still exhibiting notes of chocolate, cinnamon, cocoa. Heavy body yet somewhat watery and slick; residual sugar body; thinly coats the palate; semi-sweet.
This beer is a strange one. It is the taste that really gives uniqueness to the beer but also gives it an odd quality. Overall, it's definitely quaffable, but I'm not sure what to make of that off-center taste. It's not bad, and I don't know if it's attributable to the rice and cinnamon, but whatever its source, it certainly is different. Worth a shot.
