Thanks to Bakes for sharing this vintage bottle! Review from written notes.
BSDA, 10.5% according to the brewery (2013 batch).
Dark brown body, slightly murky with some frothy tan foam that looks like the color of stained parchment. Some spotty lace around the edges.
Flavors were malt and yeast driven, sort of a peppery Belgian yeast character with a dry bready caramel malt, raisin and mild spice, not overly sweet or boozy thankfully. The abv was hardly evident, possibly due to the age of the bottle (not the newest 2013 batch).

Poured from the bottle into a tasting snifter.
Appearance: Pours a slightly cloudy reddish amber color with a layer of off white head. The head leaves a ring around the pour.
Smell: I'm getting some sweetness. Caramel malt, dark fruit, and some smoke.
Taste: Sweet malt with a slightly weird bitterness. I'm getting some caramel, smoke, and dark fruit here as well. The finish is bitter.
Mouthfeel: The body is a bit syrupy with mild carbonation and a dry finish.
Overall: I enjoyed the smokeyness but the weird bitterness put me out a bit. Not sure I need more.

Shared by beerandblues2. Thanks Brad.
The beer is cola brown with a soft beige head. The aroma offers Belgian yeast, malt, booze, oak, sweet breads. The flavor imparts brown bread, malt, sweet yeasty esters. Medium bodied. This was pretty good, but eclipsed by many beers of this ilk brewed in Belgium.
