I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a clear copper with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had malt and earthern notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet caramel malt base with peat and grain presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

French Connection poured a hazy bright straw color, with a nice large lacing head. Their was a mellow yeasty aroma, with big notes of citrus, specifically lemon. The taste was nice and full of fruit like flavors, lots of lemon notes, with a strong malty and yeasty like backbone. Nice full flavor, and very drinkable. Overall a very nice easy drinking beer.

A - A hazy body of deep glowing orange/amber sits below a dense, frothy white head. Lacing is ample and the head gradually dissipates but stays around to leave a bit at the bottom of the glass.

S - Really interesting nose. Belgian yeast is mild and a bit subdued, but fruity ester seem to dominate. I feel like I smell tropical fruits - papaya, mango.... maybe apricot more than anything. The fruitiness does not come from the hops, however. Hop aromas are mild and subdued, maybe a touch citrusy.

T - Pretty much the same as the nose. The bite from the hops is pronounced on the finish.

M - Very smooth and creamy, mild carbonation pairs well with the rich body, very robust for the style.

O - Excellent beer that I continue to crave after I have put down two pints. Highly recommended if you come across it. From what I understand this is a limited beer with limited distribution. I look forward to seeing more great things from Lucette.
