One of the most beautiful surrounds of any brewery I've visited. Their service and quality was great, too.

Large warehouse building on the northwest edge of town in an industrial area with an expansive view of the mountains at a bend in the Snake River. Taproom in in the front with a bar in the right hand corner and some communal tables about the room. There is also a large covered patio out front. 15 beers on tap, the 2 I enjoyed were excellent, albeit pricey. I did not try the food.

Fun vibe, if you aren't into hip hop or rap, might not be your place music-wise

All beers were good to very good

Service was friendly & helpful

Good spectrum of beers on offer. Zonker Stout was a guest offering. I visited twice within 5 days. At least 3 new beers were on offer

I loved my Thai dish, My Wife & son, not so much. We eat a lot of Thai food, so expectations weren't quite met

Ok this is the real Melvin Brewing. The one in Jackson Wyoming is just a front becasue people actually know where Jackson Wyoming is. This is where the beer is actually brewed and sent to a store hopefully near you. Located in Alpine Wyoming, part of the larger Star Valley Wyoming is this cool Brewhouse. The place has this cool industrial vibe to it with a hint of modernism. The staff all times I have been there are nice. Can't say the same about the most of residents of Alpine Wyoming, but Star Valley as a whole is a pretty neat place. Good selection of activities to do while you eat and drink, especially in the summer. The food they make there is good. Just simple pub food, but dang is that pretzel and cheese dip worth the high cost. And of course they got their awesome selection of beer with their very popular Melvin IPA, and my favorite a Mexican Lager known as the Heyzues. Plus other good things to try. If you are ever on your way to the Tetons, or Yellowstone try to give this place a try if you are making you way through Alpine Wyoming. Just avoid the local bars they are pretty scummy so this should defiantly be your go to place for a beer.

it was amazing to check this place out finally, it has been on my radar ever since the thai restaurant that was also a brewery won a medal for 2x4 at gabf way back in the day before anyone had ever heard of them, before melvin was a thing, pretty cool evolution they have had since then, but going to the point of origin was somewhat of a pilgrimage, and it was a lot of fun. they have a line out the door here before they even open, people standing in the rain and all, its right down town, which apparently is always popping. a little bigger inside than it looks from the outside, a big dining room area on one side, a long and spacious and funky bar on the other side with some high tops over there too, and some patio seating as well, immediately bustling when they opened their doors. its a neat spot, low lights, kung fu movies playing, some of the neat original melvin characters on the walls, an open kitchen, exciting and exotic smells happening, we got bar seats and settled in. the beer list was really underwhelming, i think they were having trouble with a cooler or with glycol or something, but they may have only had five or six of their own beers on, a couple of highly relevant guest taps too, but i expected way more. its cool they are still brewing here though, and they had some new to me recipes on, so i was all set. the food was very good, not amazing by thailand standards, but probably better than a lot of others, maybe especially in wyoming, but you can find better thai food. its homemade and generously portioned and good, but its more just neat to pair the thai with the brewery, the curry i had was great, my wife loved her soup, all good. i had a really great english dark mild, a yuzu berliner, and a sturdy amber, all were excellent and new to me. the bartender was fine, a little flustered but he did okay. service in general was good. it was a novel experience to eat and drink in here, cool to check out the modest beginnings of one of the best regional breweries in the game right now, and one of the cooler spots in jackson really, nothing quite like it. a trip to jackson would not be complete without a visit here!

Just arrived up here, beautiful summer vibes, outdoor seating and live music today. Beers are delicious and food is great also! Definitely worth the trip! Alpine Wyoming is gorgeous and the brewery is tight on the Snake River / Palisades reservoir!

Combination Thai restaurant and brewery tap room. Nice smells from the kitchen blend with some excellent beers. Food prices high, but normal for the area.

Pretty nice hangout overall. Melvin beers are generally of good quality from what I've had, and it was cool to get some that you can't get elsewhere. The bartender was nice, service was super quick. As far as vibe goes...eh, I mean it's kind of divey in a good way, and I like the two TVs playing two different classic Kung Fu films. But the annoying gangsta rap pounding my ears I definitely could've done without. Usually I don't care about the music in a venue, but I just don't get why they were playing this off the wall and totally inappropriate crap in an otherwise cool place like this. Are they trying to be badass or something? Some punk rock or good old 80s metal would've fit the place like a glove. The food was pretty good. I'm not a Thai aficionado, so I don't really have a baseline of comparison. I got a couple small plates, which were not bad for the happy hour price. It's a no-brainer to visit Melvin if you're in town.

Vibe: Your standard ski/mountain town restaurant...but with a rotating list of amazing Melvin beers.
Quality: Melvin. Need I say more?
Service: Pretty great actually. Every server knew the food menu well, and beers even better.
Selection: Outstanding. If Melvin is your jam, this spot has what you know and love, and about eight more taps you've likely never had (or maybe even knew existed).
Food: Great Thai food.

We visited no fewer than three times last visit to Jackson. Highly recommend this spot. Very welcoming, and the beer is wonderful of course.

This was a fun place to visit. Came in for some Thai food and of course some beer. However the food was way overpriced and okay (little too spicy but good if you like the heat). During my last visit there, we had exceptional service. They did messed up our order and fixed it immediately and our waiter offered a free beer. Regardless of the food, I was happing drinking the beer from Melvin brewing. Such good stuff. Plus, check out the mens restroom. I have to say its.....interesting.

Thai Me Up/Melvin Brewing is modest in size with seating area for food accounting for 90% of the space and the remaining for bar area. Arrived at 6:30pm and the place was packed with locals and out-of-towers like myself. I did not eat choosing to go to the bar area which was also packed.

Bar itself seats approx. 20 people and there are two, four and six high top "communal" seating that will accommodate approx. 30 more; standing room is highly likely. I ordered from the bar and received a great pour of Coffee Ruckus. Beer list is on a digitized screen behind the bar and very easy to see. There were about 15 beers on tap; each displayed by name, style, ABV, IBU, size of pour (eg. 12oz) and price.

Awards and medals are prominently displayed including the 2014 World Beer Cup Gold for their 2x4 IPA and 2015 GABF Small Brewpub of the Year! Sadly the 2x4 IPA was not available so I had Brosaic, a DIPA.

If in Jackson, Wyoming this is a must do for brew!!

Spectacular food and fantastic beer and beer selection. 2x4 is world class and is up there with the best double IPAs out there. Very cool people and awesome scene.

I also walked out with a growler of their pale ale. It was great also. I highly recommend anyone that is in Jackson to head here before Snake River.

My only word of caution is that the food is spicy. Great for me, but if spice is not your thing you may want to skip it or be careful what you order.
