Boathouse Brown Ale is an easy drinking beer. Peering through the glass you will find a deep mahogany color and luscious tan head. The sweetness of the malt in our Brown Ale is offset by just enough kick from the hops. Boathouse Brown Ale will be your "everyday" beer. Pop the cap, pour it off and enjoy the ride!

This dark brown brew had a decent off-white-tan head and had a great aroma of a charcoal/smokiness to it, in which was balanced very well. There are some light sweet malts that also come out in the smell. The flavor shows this as well. The palate was about light and very drinkable. Overall, I liked it for the most part.

A - Medium hazed brown with one finger of tan head medium lacing.
S - Roasted grains, a little nutty, metallic scents, some darker earthy hop aromas.
T - Metallic again, kinda thin, slight acrid bitterness, burnt grain kinda taste.
M - Very thin, bad metallic aftertaste, watery.
O - Just a bad brown, I dont know what it is, but i think it might be Sebago's water they use, there's an off trait in every one I've had.
