12oz can courtesy of @Beersnake (received in the Barleywine/Stout BIF #2); first experience with Sebago
Poured into a Bottle Logic snifter
2024 release (Aged in Bourbon Barrels)
P deep mahogany w/ garnet hues; 1f khaki head; looks fantastic
N med to med-bold nose; inviting blend of dark sugars, booze, vanilla, and barrel
T dark sugars, toffee, dry barrel, and light tobacco; sharp booziness in the finish; some dark fruit tartness below; light-med warmth lingers in the throat
Mf light-med bodied w/ med-high carb (high for the style, imo); kind of masks the profile a bit; has an airy quality
O aside from the carb being a bit overbearing, a nicely done BA barleywine; pretty good drinkability for 13%+

Poured from a can at the source. Pours a very dark brown with a bit of tan head. Nose is toffee, bourbon, malts, and figs. The taste is definitely barrel forward. Bourbon, raisin, figs, pine, leather, oak, bread, and slight citrus peel. Great stuff!
