Moderate gusher - minus one point! But a perfecly good pour after that; nearly completely clear, with a white, airy foam with some okay retention. Smells of lovely German lager malt, accompanied by a subtle hop/yeast fruitiness - I'm getting bananas and pineapple and juicy pear.
Tastes quite good, and is particularly notable for not lacking in body in spite of its low ABV. Mellow honeycomb sweetness, cut off by a firm, grapefruity bitterness. Juicily, but bordering on overwhelmingly, hoppy. Overall a very pleasant, extremely sessionable beer. Possible food pairings: ploughman's, rice crackers, grilled octopus, lemon sorbet, burrata.
