Straw coloured beer. Slight haze. Thin head.
Mild fruity aroma. Tangerine.
Taste follows the smell. Not a huge amount of flavour.
Quite a soft feel.
OK but not overwhelmed.

Pours clear gold into a glass from a bottle. Offwhite head is two-three fingers high, creamy, with good retention. Good chunky lacing left in the glass, and lots of visible sediment floating about.

Aroma is all sweet tropical fruit - mango, grapefruit - a little floral grass, and aromatic hops. The flavour doesn't follow on as expected, leaning more towards an initial hop bitterness which dominates the beer. It's pithy, vegetative, and slightly malty in the middle; but hops are all over this beer.

Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied, a little zingy, and a bit oily with a dry finish.

Overall quite a nice bitter pale ale with lots of hop character; slightly unbalanced towards the back end but still refreshing and drinkable.

Served cold (probably too cold) from 330ml bottle into tulip glass.

L) Pale for an IPA, this is a pale yellow colour, very cloudy with visible lumps of yeast and quite a lot of bubbles rising. Thin bubbly head. Certainly looks unusual for an IPA, very pale colour.

S) Sweetish tropical fruit hop aroma is right there. Smells very good.

T) Nice hop bitterness, the fruitiness is there but not as pronounced as the smell may suggest. A light malt background, no real flavour there either way.

F) Lightish for an IPA, but it is 5.2% ABV. Mild carbonation and no major aftertastes, quite easy drinking but this one is cold.

O) Decent 'supermarket IPA'. Price is reasonable. There are better and worse IPAs on the shelves, give it a try and see what you think.
