The beer pours a nice dark ruby to tan colour which looks rich with flavour and quite promising
The smell is of roasted nuts, smokey and raisiny sweet.
The taste is very in teresting since it has all the raisiny sweetness expected of a barley wine but a peaty smokey quality as well which you would not expect outside Bamberg..
