Brewed with home grown malt and inspired by our farming heritage, Sleck Dust is a blonde coloured easy drinking beer. Pleasingly bittered with Pilgrim and Northern Brewer hops, while Centennial whole hops are added late to give the beer a citrus hop edge and a floral aroma. After a long day in harvest when only a good beer would do, we would “Sleck Dust” to quench the thirst!

On cask at Oliver Twist.

Pours a clear amber with fine head.

Smell is fruity and hoppy with notes of citrus and wheat dough and some floral hints.

Taste is fruity and hoppy with a solid bitterness. Notes of citrus, wheat dough, knäckebröd and grass.

Mouthfeel is medium, smooth and well carbonated.

Overall, a very nice, chuggable pale ale.

Pours a real golden body with nice thick (impressive for bottle) white head
The aroma is pineapple cubes & betrays the quite big and complex flavours
caramel, sugar beet & wheat crackers all underpinned with peppery bitterness
nicely drinkable in no way flimsy well worth a try

500ml Bottle: BBD end of Jan 14. Poured into a UK pint sleeve during preparing a Sunday lunch in my hot kitchen: if found 'Sleck Dust' an idea thirst quencher in every sense.

Light amber/golden body with an off-white head that started thin and fell away a bit too swiftly for my liking.

Mild citrus notes in a fruity and floral hop nose.

Nicely balanced taste: hop bitterness with a citrus bent blend well with the semi-sweet malts to give a pleasant refreshing easy drinking session ale.

My first beer from these guys: I've got two more different bottles to try, looking forward to them.

A 500ml bottle with a BB of Dec 2010, so it's a few months out of date. Label describes it as a light session ale; the name refers to slaking ones thirst at the end of hard day's work.

Poured into a Sam Smith's pint glass. A clear light golden colour with good carbonation. Produces a small head of white foam that subsides quickly. Aroma of light, grainy malt and aromatic hops. Floral and citrus notes dominate. Nice....

Tastes of light malt with a pleasing aromatic bitterness. Plenty of floral and citrus notes from the hops, with a hint of grain in the background. Faint stale note lurking as well. Mouthfeel is crisp and prickly, but ever so slightly thin. Aftertaste of aromatic hops.

A nice session ale with a great hoppy flavour - would be very easy to have a few of these of an evening. I suspect that the age of this bottle may have muted the hop character somewhat, so I would expect a fresh one to be even better. A great modern take on the style, and well worth sampling if you come acros it.
