Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a tulip, the beer is a hazy, golden yellow coloring, with a huge, foamy, frothy, white head. Nose of licorice, subtle herbal notes, pepper spice, and some muted bitter chocolate. Flavors are heavy licorice forward, with everything else being overpowered by this. Smooth and light, with a toasted, licorice aftertaste. Smooth finish. This was horrifically lopsided.
