Pour is a haze pale yellow with lots of tight fluffy white head. Nose is very dusty and earthy, strong peppery spice and very soapy with light grass in back with a faint citrus. Taste is strong dust and earth. Notes of grainy biscuit, much lighter on the peppery side and a very soapy and grassy finish. Body is light with moderate carb and fairly dry finish with a subtle bitterness through the finish.

Pours a light whitish-yellow with a nice white head. Aroma offered some Belgian yeast providing some nice spiciness, there some apple in there in there too (I think from the yeast as well) and the hops offer some mint and a little lemongrass. Flavor followed suit. A thinnish to medium, active mouthfeel. Overall, a very interesting brew. On the simpler, easier drinking side of things and not one I personally needed more than one glass of, but interesting and good for what it is. I would drink this one again for sure, but wouldn't buy a bombers worth. Will stick with this one on tap for serving size.

Bottled 11/30/12. Per the label: "750ml. 0 yr cellar limit. The beer you are holding is a prototype batch." 750ml bottle acquired at Funkwerks a few days ago and served into an EKU 28 stem-snifter in me gaff in high altitude Castle Rock, Colorado. Reviewed live. Expectations are average given the brewery. Style per label: "Belgian Style Ale."
Served refrigerator cold and allowed to warm over the course of consumption. Side-poured with standard vigor as no carbonation issues are anticipated.
Paired with kettle corn.
A: Pours a two finger beige colour head of slight cream, decent thickness, and pretty good retention. Colour is a clear pale yellow. Translucent. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show. Quite appealing; looks exactly like what I'm in the mood for.
Sm: Lemon, bretts, funkiness, lemon grass, and lemon zest. Like a quite funky witbier. Fresh floral hop notes. A pleasant yeasty moderate strength aroma.
T: Lemongrass is dominant, with pale clean malts and floral hop notes filling out the pleasant refreshing body. Very mellow bretts; just a hint of funk but nowhere near what I'm accustomed to. All around a fresh, refreshing, and well balanced Belgian pale - albeit quite a simple one. Nicely layered, featuring some subtlety (especially with regard to the integration of the hops and subtle lemon into the flavour profile).
Mf: Nicely smooth and wet. Refreshing and light on the palate. Good understated carbonation, aiding its refreshing character. Just thin enough to stay light whilst thick enough to support the body. Well executed.
Dr: I could definitely drink this all night and will have no trouble finishing this bottle. A surprisingly tasty balanced brew from Funkwerks. I'd get this again. Pairs well with popcorn. I like it. Hides its modest ABV well.
Low C+
As it warmed, it got dryer and more white wine-like. While I initially thought it was a B-, it soon collapsed to a low C+. The taste flattened, the subtlety went away, and the drinkability plummeted. Serve this quite cold.
