Had this beer a few months ago, it seems to have improved with this one, so I am reviewing again!
Lots of bubbly head, peachy aroma.
For some reason there is a chicken drinking beer on the bottle, and he is looking very sophisticated, and wears a top hat. Hopefully I will not become a headless one.
I love IPA's, and some Polish ones are in fact really good. Especially the one with an Octopus on (can't remember the name).
This is actually very cheap for an IPA, even in Poland, works out around 70 pence for a 500ml bottle...
Looks good, foamy and bubbly head.
Aroma is very sweet and peachy, not much bitterness.
The hops taste is similar to quite a few other Polish IPA's, a little stale and lacking the punch of one from the West Coast. However in terms of value, this is one of the best value ever. Just a small amount more than the standard mass produced Lech, Perla or Warka, this is definitely worth the extra zloty!
It's made with barley and wheat...personally I prefer pure barley, however the wheat certainly adds another dimension and makes it a bit more complex, with a slight bananaeyness particularly on the aftertaste.
Anyway, not as fruity, fresh and amazing as a top level American or English IPA, however in terms of value, amazing.
