Had on-tap at CRBC in Portland, OR. Poured a dark amber color with only a bit of light shining through. Off-white head that receded slowly left pretty lacing throughout the glass. Had an aroma of sweet caramel, dark malts and a touch of what tasted to me like brown sugar. Booze is up front in the taste, but it is balanced well by the smooth malts and sweet taste of the caramel.
Medium in body with moderate carbonation. Overall a really enjoyable beer.

First had: on tap at their brewpub
Not a bad selection. Poured a darker brown color with reddish tints, and a small cap of beige head. Aroma of caramel malts, brown sugar, and a little bit of over-ripe fruits. Taste was pretty good: malty, caramel, peaches and plums, but not sickeningly sweet. Alcohol was surprisingly well hidden. Mouthfeel was medium, not as chewy or syrupy as some other beers of the style tend to be. Moderately drinkable selection overall.
