Naked Dove Brewing Company

Very small place off the side of the highway, kind of chill in the afternoon. Quiet, laidback, locals hangout. Good service. Deent slection of taps, average quality

Tiny little place, out beyond the outskirts of Canandaigua. Serving the tasting flights are in translucent plastic cups, served in a cardboard carrying tray. Most of their beers are of moderate quality. The dry hopped Kölsch, was the best of the four tried.

First visit.
Most important to note… every beer I tried was remarkably fresh and smooth as good draft beer should be. It’s scary that with so many good breweries around that getting super fresh; wonderfully smooth draft… across all beers is special. Felt I was back in the great roadside gasthauses in Bavaria. Surprised after 10+ years that it was still a very small tasting room. Enjoyed the outdoors covered tables/chairs. Very pleasant.
Surprised hours did not extend into evening/ night.
Expect other times it is much busier, but I got there at 6:30 on a Friday, and things were clearly winding down… maybe 8-10 other people in and out.
Service at bar was very good; pleasant, fun and knowledgeable.
Enjoyed myself; enjoyed beers; enjoyed chatting with beer pourer.
I would definitely stop again sometime.

Located in a relatively new industrial building just out side of town NDB's tasting room has the feel of a visitor's center with a bar. Very much a locals hangout, and I'm sure if I knew any of the people being talked about it would have been more interesting. Angular service bar is shaped a bit like a Y if take off the left arm and add it on top. 8 assorted beers on tap, I had the Clarity FLX, and it was very nice. Friendly service, albeit mostly with the other local. An enjoyable and convenient quick stop for a good beer.

 

 

Checked out the Naked Dove just to see what they had going on. It's a small taproom that offers about 6 different samples and does growler fills. There is a gift shop area but there isn't any seating so it doesn't allow people to really hangout there. The service was really good but the beers were average.

When I went to this brewery it was pretty dead but the bartender was very outgoing and very knowledgeable about each and every beer we had and gave a description of what it would taste like upon being served. They had a couple ipas, a porter, a schwarzbier, a blackberry beer, and a scotch ale which were all very good. They had a nice merchandise selection including t shirts, sweatshirts, magnets, and polo shirts. Decent selection of beers with all having a good quality of taste. The only downside was there was no chairs to sit on just a bar without any furniture but, overall it was a very nice place to stop and enjoy some good beer.
