On-tap at the brewpub: Golden straw with a medium chill haze to its body. Big and fluffy whitish cap of densely whipped fluff. Slippery lacing with only a few speckled patches sticking and a slight oily residue.
Aroma is a bit on the light side but pretty darn steady with a big malty tang bringing a subdued melonyness and toffee.
Good flavors with a smooth and consistent malty tang. Slight melon candy, bready, tiny stickings of sweet butter and toffee flow with a moderate ease through to the finish where a brief grain huskyness returns over the melon.
Medium body with a stickyness thats fitting for the style. Low carbonation with a slightly silkenness to its it smoothened frame.
A pretty straight up Maibock that was surprisingly good and quaffable. Easily a second pint will be had.
