I bought this by accident, seriously what is the point of a 1% beer. To be honest, I didn't know they even existed.
Looks great, light head. Aroma is like a mega watered down West Coast IPA wixed with some smokey washing up liquid.
Taste is mega dry. After my Crazy Mike Double IPA, this is seriously light. And crisp. Quite a thin mouth feel with some interesting tongue sensations. However the taste is more important.
I guess I detect some burnt mandarin/satsuma/orange/clementine peel. There is some light mango and grapefruit fruitiness. The hops are a bit flat, but still pretty bitter. Overall it tastes pretty good, I just don't really like the burnt flavour. And it's 1%. On the bottle it says "Ekstrakt 6.5% WAG" which I thought was actually the strength, but it isn't the strength. What is the point of a 1% beer? It makes you unhealthy without giving you any kind of high, just a faint relaxed feeling from the hops. Oh and it is made from rye, I can taste it.
It's not bad, but because it only contains 1% alcohol, it gets a 1 overall rating. And the bitterness needs a bit more tropical fruits or mozaic hops to balance it. Still, it's pretty good I guess and the bitterness is impressive. However the bitterness is not balanced with any fruitiness, and is overtly smoky. Plus it's 1%.
