A - Clear copper brown color with a thin layer of white head. Heads fades quickly leaving behind a bit of lace.

S - Sweet caramel and bready malts, bit of spice in the background.

T - Rich sweet caramel malts and some lager yeast in the background. Through the middle, some bready malts come through with a bit of spice. Finish is a mix of sweet caramel malts and some bready yeast flavor.

M - Medium bodies with moderate carbonation. Smooth with a fairly sweet finish.

D - Very drinkable. Standard Oktoberfest flavors with a bit more yeasty flavor and the finish could be a bit crisper.

Pours a deep red, almost dark orange, with really minimal head, even when initially poured. Not even a film over the top of the beer. Moderate body. Looks quite amateurish, although the colour is good.

Quite a thin palate, although the characters there are deep. Dark malts that hint at something more complex. A slight German malt hint and a slight twinge of banana esters. Minimal hops. It's so thin overall that it's hard to get terribly excited about it.

Taste is better. Some pleasant sweet malts with a bitter caramel note cut with a slight clean phenolic character. Light roasted bitterness on the finish which cleans up a little. Feel is clear and sharp.

Not bad overall. The sweet malts and the roasty note work and the slightly higher alcohol works in its favour. It's still only a moderate stylistic attempt from these guys, but it's drinkable, at least.
