Draft at brewpub.Medium golden with mild haze, soft creamy head. Soft fruity, citrus aroma. Taste brings ina bit of bitterness, but the citrus nature carries over into the flavor. Pretty standard for the style.

Imbibed on tap at Tied House on 8/24/12.
This looks like an amber in color. Reddish bown with a thin white head. Laces really well. Malt has some good biscuit behind the really strong pine. I get some yeasty esters along with a hint of skunk with a swirl. Taste is similar. Strong bready malt followed by very bitter hops. The hops aren't very nectarish or floral, like a good Citra should be. Feel is middling in viscosity, but it's abrasive and acidic. Dry finish.
The aroma is enticing. Reminds me of some good double IPAs with strong malt backbone. But the taste is disappointing.

Served in a tulip-esque glass at the brewpub.
A: Gorgeous clear gold with a tight two fingers of head.
S: Amazing. I love Citra. Sticky, resiny fruit. Bitttersweet and enchanting.
T/M: A tad thin/astringent, but it improves as the taste goes on. Very bitter-hoppy, with a tropical flair. Some carbonation.
O: The brevity of this review doesn't do justice to the beverage. Will drink again. Highly recommended. On of my favorite hops.
