473ml can served cold into a tulip glass. Cost was $3.75 CDN from the local LCBO. Canned January 9, 2024.
Appearance - Rusty golden color with plenty of haze. Two fingers of frothy white head are poured on top with good retention time. Sparse lacing clings to the rim of the glass.
Smell - Fruity but with a twist. I get a peach, papaya combo with some orange mingled in. Moderately robust on the aromatics.
Taste - A bit of peach up front then a hint of papaya and a long orange finish with plenty of pith. Not supper bitter but not sweet either. Taste isn't as juicy as many a NEIPA.
Mouthfeel - Medium-full bodied with average carbonation. Pretty dry all in-all, wouldn't say this meets a juicy NEIPA test.
Overall - Not bad and the papaya aspect makes this a bit unique, but otherwise North Shore is a pretty run-of-the-mill IPA. Worth a try or two, but better options exist.
