On tap at Play Wine bar Ottawa for $6
Appearance - Clear amber/brown colour with an average size off white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is some decent lacing. The head lasted for around 2-3 minutes before it was gone.
Smell - Malts, caramel, light hops, grass/herbal
Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste malts, caramel, and hops. There is also some grassy notes. It ends with a mildly bitter earthy caramel aftertaste.
Overall - Not what I was expecting when I ordered a Porter. More like a ESB but I see from other reviews this is a different style of porter. A decent sessionable easy drinking beer with just enough flavour to keep it interesting.

Pours a nut brown and ruby colour with a frothy beige head that hangs on as a thin collar and leaves some heavy lace behind.
Logger has a woody and nutty smell, with a solid whiff of lager yeast, dark fruit and cocoa accents and a light toastiness.
The taste of Logger really shows its lagered roots with a crisp bite. Ripe fruit, chocolate
and wood flavours are present and a fairly strong bitterness is found in the finish.
The mouthfeel is typically thin and yeast creates a tangy sensation on the tongue. Aftertaste is mildly syrupy with lingering fruit and chocolate notes.
This Pennsylvania style variation on the American porter Is very unique and very drinkable.

A: Pours a rich, medium caramel brown with about a finger's worth of white head. Head recedes slowly to a soapy film on top with more carbonation visible slowly rising to replenish and maintain the cap.
S: Subtle tones of caramel with a little bit of wood and nuts. Quite understated but what's there is nicely appealing.
T: Taste follows the nose. Caramel, roasted nuts, some grain and bread notes towards the lighter end of the flavour spectrum. Hops balance nicely, adding a pleasant level of bitter and some grassy overtones that rounds things out nicely.
M: Substantial yet refreshing. There's substance to it but it remains light on the tongue with a pleasant silky smooth character.
O: A solid entry overall. Nothing earthshattering here, but definitely a pleasant experience. I would definitely buy this again when next they brew it. Definitely a beer I could stand to have several of in a session.
