The beer pours a pitch black color with a thick frothy tan head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a nice, roasted malt scent along with a touch of chocolate malt sweetness. The taste is decent. It has a light, dry roasted flavor that goes down easy and finishes with an earthy feel. It has a mild black malt bitterness with a hint of chocolate malt sweetness. The mouthfeel is decent as well. It is a medium/full bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a fine session stout. It has excellent roasted character and drinkability.
