A: Pours a nice cloudy ruby red hue with a medium foamy tan head. Very little retention and spotty lace.

S: Nice caramel malt aromas with hints of candy sugar and piney hops.

T: Nice malty brew with a blast of piney hops. The balance is there, it's just a bit off in taste.

M: Medium in body with ample carbonation.

D: Not too bad, I would stick to the Spruce Tip IPA though.

Overall: If your lucky enough to find yourself at Skagway Brewing grab a beer and a pretzel and relax, your in Alaska for god's sake!

Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a hazy reddish amber color with a thin and foamy beige head that diminishes steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of crystal malt, caramel and hops. Medium-bodied and well-balanced with flavors of biscuit, malt, caramel and hops. The finish is sweet and malty with hops lingering in the aftertaste. Straightforward and enjoable all around.
