The nine grain American brow ale has a complex, malty profile and a subtle British hop influence. Traces of nut, chocolate and caramel are woven throughout this approachable version.

STAGWAY BREWERY - ALASKA
Had a sampler at the brewery in Skagway Alaska
Boom dark ale – This a brown ale with medium tannins, lots of body with a woody cedar and a pine cone flavor which blend well with hop back drop. A very well done beer.

16oz draft pour into a pint glass shows a cloudy gold-brown body with 1/4" cap of off-white colored foam that falls to wispy islands and leaves webbed lacing.

Aroma is muted, but dominated by caramel, cereal malt and a slight roast that carries over more in the flavor.
Roasty malt and almost a cola taste.

Mouthfeel is an appropriately lighter leaning medium, but short of watery and clears the palate cleanly.

Overall a nice, roasty brown
I'd like to think this recipe has been dialed in from earlier reviews and I enjoy it.

On draft at SBC. Fairly standard brown ale. Lighter and watery, with a nutty brown malt and slight earthiness. Not much going on here, fairly bland and not a particularly interesting beer in general.

This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a semi-hazy brown color with a film of a white head. Barely any lacing lurked as the beer went down. The smell had a nice roasty nutty sweet and somewhat chocolaty goodness. The taste was basically the same. On the palate, this sat about a light to medium with a nice sessionability about it. It left a really nice roasty nutty sweetness rolling over my tongue, somewhat soft and creamy texture. Overall, really nice brown ale that makes up for some of their other ones.

Not quite sure why but this was not as enjoyable to me as browns usually are. Pretty bland, tasteless, kind of nutty and toasty maybe, but malt is surprisingly absent.

On tap at the brewery. Pours brown with off-white head. Aroma is of bready, toasted malt, dark fruit, chocolate, coffee and cacao. Body is fool and smooth. Taste is of bready, toasted malt, dark fruit, chocolate and coffee. Finish is long and dry. Nice brew.
