Appearance – The colour is dark amber, with small head and some lacing.
Smell – Warm and sweet a little like an Raddler with a tiny mustiness to it as well like an empty bottle along with a smell slightly similar to cannabis or hemp plants. Also smells of brown malt, caramel, toffee, candy, strawberry, quite fruity actually
Taste – The taste follows the nose to a tee and it is odd. There is a sweet taste, but it is also quite dry and bitter from liquorice. This one is very odd and not what I’d describe as balanced.
Mouthfeel – I found this beer very dry on the pallet. It had a very sharp bitter finish but it was full in the mouth, okay.
Overall – This beer confused me a lot. It seems to want to avoid definition and plays with the pallet refusing to be pinned down to just one distinct taste. That is probably why they use the fox motif and describe it as a sly one.
