A 500ml bottle with a BB of April 2015. Purchased a while back from the York Beer & Wine shop. The label describes it as a triple-hopped india pale ale.

A: Poured into a tulip pint glass. Bottle conditioned. A hazy marmalade-amber hue with fine sediment and medium carbonation. Yields a decent head of creamy white foam that lasts for a minute or two before reducing to a patchy surface layer.

S: Aroma of fruity, resinous hops with hints of mild grapefruit, orange peel, citrus, pine, dank weed, sweet caramel malt, ale yeast and stewed hops. Lovely stuff.

T: Tastes of sweet caramel malt with a seriously hoppy character and a bitter finish. Notes of grapefruit, orange peel, citrus, pine resin, dank weed, caramel malt, ale yeast, stewed hops and subtle earthiness. A twinge of booze in the background. Slightly sweet, followed by a muscular, hop-driven bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with pleasant carbonation and good body. Somewhat astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of sweet malt, bitter aromatic hops and ale yeast.

O: A tasty IPA with a satisfying dose of hops. Looks good, while the aroma and flavour are a top-notch blend of American hops, sweet caramel and ale yeast. Nice body. Goes down a treat - hops galore. Well worth sampling if you stumble across it.

Appearance: Big nutty, caramel notes. Pine is present but behind the malt for sure (3.75)

Flavor: Grassy/pine cotton candy. Huge malt backbone and very sweet. (3.75)

Mouthfeel: Extremely sticky and full bodied, medium-light carbonation (3.75)

Overall: Too sticky and grassy for me, not a huge fan (3.80)

500ml bottle served in a small tulip.

Appearance: Clear deep amber with a weak head.
Surprisingly mild aroma with relatively little hops.

FLAVOR: More sweet caramel malts. Mildly bitter aftertaste.

O: unique and refreshing but mild PA rather than IPA.. Recommended as such.
