On tap at the brewpub. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice looking somewhat dark hazy yet transparent brown color with some carbonation rising to fill a slim bar pour’s kind of head. Lacing slid in some semi-clingy rings. The smell starts off with some dried sweet nuts. Light caramel notes slide in underneath dried hemp (comes across spicy). The taste had dried sweet palatable flavor over top of the hemp, spicy once again. Light semi-sweet nutty to spicy character in the aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation seemed good for the style and for me. Overall, I’d say this was a pretty good American styled brown ale that I would have again.

Vermont Brewfest. Forgot if it was bottle or tap. Poured brown. Interesting nose. It was brewed with hemp so there is this dried, herby, wicker scent to it. Also got some brown malt sweetness. Hemp is interesting. Flavor is nutty with some slight chocolate powder. Burnt caramel. Hempy, dried-out finish. Medium bodied. Lingering flavor. Unique.
