On tap at the brewpub. This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a nice looking dark brown close to black color with a one finger white to off white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. The smell had some light roasty coffee a bit rugged and grainy. Chocolate is light. Coffee is slightly more pronounced. The flavor is basically the same as the smell. Definitely that rugged almost burnt coffee bean aftertaste. Semi-dry smooth finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt good and low. Overall, good Imperial Stout for the most part, could come back to.
