Purchased from the brewery

Looks: A thick haze of gold and orange guess. Chucky white foam leaves lots of lace.

Nose: Smells of straw, orange and sweet tropical fruits from the hops. Peppery grains and earth notes under that.

Taste: peppery orange with a strong Lupulin punch that is fresh and zesty. Nice depth in the hop complexity. Golden grainy smoothness from the malt side.

Feel: Very crisp, with a peppery and earthy bite that has a very smooth body and texture in the finish.

Overall, the fresh tasting hop and Lupulin taste stands out strong. A very decent NE Hazy DiPA.

Canned on date 8/4/21 and enjoyed in a 16oz Founders snifter on 10/1/21.

Appearance: Pours a straw-colored opaque golden-yellow with 2 fingers of creamy white foam. Head dissipates quickly but nice lacing. Certainly hazy but no floating sediment.

Smell: Really pungent right after pouring, but quickly dissipates and is pretty mellow. Hops dominate with tangerine, orange rind, apricot and some grapefruit. Other fruity notes consist of papaya and maybe a bit of mango. Notes of lemon and a bit of grassy floral notes and maybe some pine. Can advertises a “sturdy malt backbone” but I don’t really get any malty scents like I would expect from the can’s description.

Taste: Hoppy bitterness of pine and resin are much more noticeable than in the nose. Back end has nice citrus notes consistent with the nose, with tangerine, orange, apricot, and grapefruit present with papaya and mango more subtle. Aftertaste is mostly light lemony-grassy taste and a bit of floral character. Malt is largely absent which is expected for a NEIPA, but the can says “sturdy malt backbone” so its difficult to figure it out. Malt certainly makes the beer sweeter than expected and has a bit of cracker and biscuit flavor. Beer gets a bit more dank as it warms.

Feel: Medium carbonation and fairly light bodied. Very smooth with minimal alcohol warmness considering the 8%.

Overall: Good not great. Glad I was able to try but disappointed it was not as advertised on the can. Overall I feel like the market is absolutely flooded with NEIPAs and this just seems like another average NEIPA.

Poured into a 16 oz pint glass at the brewery in Bennington. Pours golden yellow with minimal head or lacing. Tastes of bright (juicy?) citrus on the forward and settles into bitter hops at the end. Decent and worth trying.

16oz can: This one pours a hazy, orange tinged golden color. Just a bit of a white head and almost no lacing. Nice nose. Orange, some earthiness. Lighter notes of some breadiness and a faint spice. The taste is good. Unlike what the name implies, this is not a juice bomb. Orange, some spices, earthiness, some breadiness, faint pine and a bit of a dry finish. Very good!

The appearance was a hazy glossy burnt yellow to orange color with a slim bar pour’s kind of white head. Light lacing runs here and there. The smell takes on a huge burst of bitter orange rind. Extra citrus / lemon bitter hops play with a light pine underneath. The taste leaned towards the bitter rind-like quality. Full and leaning on the bitterness to embrace and pound on into the aftertaste. Semi-smooth bitter finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing the bitterness to hit appropriately. Overall, I say this was a very good DIPA that I would have again.
