I brought a tall boy can of this beer home from the brewery whilst passing through on my way to my son's hockey showcase. The beer poured a dark opaque amber with thin ecru ring head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had a wonderful aroma of peanut butter and chocolate notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright milk chocolate malt base with peanut butter presence. This seems to hit more like a porter than stout....there was an acidity and bitterness at the end that I did not enjoy. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

On tap at the brewery.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a bar pour's kind of small off-white head. No lace.
The aroma had a huge amount of roasted coffee bean notes, some ash/char, peanut notes and some dark chocolate.
The flavor yielded to the dryness of the roast with the coffee beans and ashy/char notes up front. Peanuts came out fairly roasted. Light aftertaste of peanut roastiness with coffee roast and char.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. The char/ashiness is a bit dry and quite high. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good. Finish is exceptionally roasty, dry and char-like.
Overall, where was the peanut butter? It was more like a stout with peanuts in it. Maybe again.
