Had three out of the four pack and passed one on to a buddy.
Two out of the three were poured into a weizen glass and the third I drank out of the can.
Out of the weizen glass, the appearance was a hefty cloudy orange color with a slim cap of a white foamy head that slid off at a gentle pace. Some lace ran here and there.
The aroma seemed to hit all of the bells and whistles of a refined superb German styled hefeweizen. The banana sweet esters hit the clove at the right spot then a sly bubblegum slid in underneath.
The flavor yields to the sweetness of the blend but allowing the clove spice to balance right where I want it to be. And the aftertaste is magical and hits the spot through the entire blend.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fantastic sessionability about it. Carbonation hit right on. ABV felt just as the brewer projected it to be. Mild clove to banana sweet and spicy finish.
Overall, though this is currently my last can, I wouldn't mind more of this and try to do a blind taste test with this and Queen City's Hefeweizen (my current favorite hefeweizen of Vermont).

This is a pint of Madison Brewing's summer release, Hefe Weizen. It is served in a standard tumbler and is chilled, but there is no lemon (nice!).
Appearance: The ale has a golden hazy color with a lot of visible sediment. There is a bit of head, but nothing great.
Smell: The estery aromas of clove and banana really dominate this beer, more so than most authentic German weizens.
Taste: The yeasts do their job here, providing a very delicious banana and clove flavor. It seems that the brewer went overboard with the yeast though, as the banana flavor is strong and almost too much to handle.
Mouthfeel: Very light and refreshing, even with the abundance of banana.
Drinkability: My first offering from Madison Brewing and I think that I am hooked.
