This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a dark brown color with a finger worth of foamy white head that dissipates at a nice low pace and leaves some light lingering lace. The aroma takes some earthy notes over some nutty crisp malts. Low amount of caramel and toffee. The flavor is malty sweet and balances with the earthiness. Light malty to earthy aftertaste. Sly finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Low to medium carbonation. Earthiness comes back to give a push in the harshness department on my tongue but doesn’t distract from the flavor. Overall, mostly good brown ale with an added acceptable earthiness to it.

Great looking beer, nice brown color, almost a tinge of amber to it. Very clear, poured with a nice head, which left little lace.
Aroma is hints of coffee, and caramel. Essence of creme brulee
No real hop presence with this beer.
Taste is rich with malt. Nutty, carmely, with rich toffee notes. slight grainy taste with a bitter, and slightly winy finish

A little Light bodied. Easy drinking beer

Drinkable offering from this brewery. True to style in every aspect. Usually not my bag, but I did enjoy this one.
I asked the bartender what the abv was and he responded with, around 5% I think...didn't offer to to find out.
