I stumble across this place while searching for a bottle shop near Willoughby. I just saw the sign and went in hoping to find a specific beer. I quickly realized upon entering that this was a home brew shop. I walked around with no one in site, but I could hear a couple guys talking about the beer they were brewing behind a partition. Then I noticed six tap handles. I walked around until one of them emerged and asked if he could help me.
I inquired about the tap handles. The gentleman explained that they brewed small batches on premise and sold pints and growlers. I, of course had to sit down and sample. They had five average beers. The sixth tap was a mead that was pretty good. I was told that their beer was also served at Little Mountain Brewery down the road.
My bartender asked if I was a home brewer, which I am not. Then he told me how great it was and invited me behind the partition to watch him brew while explaining the process. He told of the brewing classes that were held there. It seemed like a good place to take up the art.
I finally moved on. It was a friendly environment to have a beer. I am merely rating the place as a nano brewery. I would like to get a home brewers take on the shop. I would say worth a stop as a home brewer. I would not make it a beer destination.
